The inventor of the new prefab technology that has become famous under the name präton, Benedikt Christa, has worked in prefab construction since the early fifties, when the reconstruction of Germany caused business to boom. As a result he gained enormous experience. präton should become one of the first and biggest precast concrete factories in Germany. Many schools, hospitals, office buildings, industrial halls and last but not least houses were built with präton technology. The word präton is an abbreviation of the German term "Präfabrikation mit Beton" (English: "Prefabrication With Concrete") - and it is still the best description of what it stands for.

In order to market his vast experience and his patents, he founded the company Gebrüder Christa GmbH & Co. KG together with his brother Josef in 1968. The Christa family is doing construction business since six generations. The locally operating CHRISTA CONSTRUCTION GROUP has been founded in 1832.
Due to the global need for inexpensive apartments and houses and grace to our success in the local market, many companies worldwide became interested in our technology. We, then, started to cooperate in the field of prefab building and production systems. Our scope of service is

Depending on the customer's request, we work out a complete package consisting of production plant layout, required machinery and building system. We provide technical assistance to monitor the construction process and guarantee the agreed productivity in quality and in quantity. 

Several patents bear witness to the leading technology of our company. To date, we have successfully equipped many companies in Germany, Europe and overseas with expertise in production and use of prefabricated concrete elements, particularly in the field of housing construction, under the trademark präton and präton haus. In the recent decades, we have built thousands of houses worldwide. They all represent the highest standard of quality guaranteed by this system.

Our company has been awarded the International Prize for Productive Development and International Cooperation, the coveted "Gold Mercury Award". In 1997, we won the Innovation Competition of the BAUCON ASIA 97 exhibition in Singapore. We received the "Innovative Exhibit Award" for achieving an exemplary level of innovation.
